Hi, I’m Reece.
I build marketing systems that reduce manual work and help teams move faster without compromising accuracy. I’m especially interested in automation, operational design, and turning messy processes into workflows people actually enjoy using.
I currently work at Rice University supporting solicitation, engagement, and stewardship email campaigns, where I spend most of my time improving the systems behind the work.
my line of work
I run high-volume email marketing programs by owning the production, QA, and deployment process end-to-end.
I manage the approval lifecycle of email campaigns, coordinating reviews across writers, cross-functional stakeholders, and leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency before launch. In parallel, I set up direct marketing efforts in our Blackbaud CRM, assigning email variants to the appropriate audience segments, often based on giving history and engagement data.
Because I often manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, I’ve created multiple internal automation systems to streamline approvals, reduce manual handoffs, and keep complex workflows organized and on schedule. My focus is making email operations reliable, scalable, and easy for teams to work within.

About
I’ve always had a strong interest in the operations side of marketing, specifically the behind-the-scenes systems, workflows, and tools that make results-driven campaigns possible.
Today, I work in higher-ed marketing at Rice University, supporting campus-wide communications and building automation tools that improve cross-team collaboration and reduce manual effort. Over time, that work led me toward a pursuit in Marketing Operations and Revenue Operations, where I can leverage my skills in problem-solving, process/system design, and cross-team collaboration.
I like understanding:
how different teams and stakeholders approach work
where bottlenecks and friction exist
and how I can optimize team workflows
I’m currently growing toward roles in Marketing Operations and RevOps, where I can expand my skills in CRM strategy, reporting, and cross-team systems design.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me experimenting with new automation tools, refining systems in my own day-to-day life, or planning my next project.
